Executive Team

  • Willis Tang

    Founder & Chief Executive Officer

    Willis is a graduate from the University of Southern California with a B.S. in Human Biology. He has worked on numerous health education projects across Los Angeles and has over three years of EMS experience. Currently, Willis is pursuing his M.D. degree at the UCSF School of Medicine and hopes to continue leading novel initiatives that will improve bystander access to emergency health education.

  • Madelynn Sopp

    Director of Education

    Madelynn holds a M.S. in Global Medicine and B.S. in Human Biology from the University of Southern California, where she began her collegiate EMS career in 2017. Currently pursuing her M.D. degree at the Kaiser Permanente School of Medicine, she is deeply passionate about expanding healthcare access and advancing health literacy in medically underserved communities.

  • Kushagra Tewari

    Director of International Outreach

    Kushagra is a graduate from the University of Southern California with a B.S. in Neuroscience. He is currently pursuing his M.D. degree at the David Geffen School of Medicine at UCLA and has worked on health education projects across multiple countries. With ERP, Kushagra is interested in leading imperative community-based initiatives to address social drivers of health affecting various communities worldwide.

  • Coleman Lau

    Director of External Relations

    Coleman is currently a graduate student pursuing a M.S. in Global Medicine at the University of Southern California. He is a licensed and practicing EMT-B, and has experience volunteering in the emergency department at LAC+USC Medical Center. With ERP, Coleman aims to help expand the organization’s outreach efforts and optimize the dissemination of bystander medical education resources to the local communities of Los Angeles.

  • Jonathan Mak

    Director of Finance

    Jonathan is a graduate from Boston University with a B.S. in Business Administration with concentrations in Finance and Health and Life Sciences. He has previous experience in the private equity and investments sector and has worked as a Medical Assistant. With ERP, he hopes to build financial flexibility to help achieve the organization’s goals in supporting the Greater Los Angeles community.

  • Colin Mach

    Legislative Director

    Colin is currently a fourth year at the University of California, San Diego pursuing a B.S. in Human Biology. He has worked in various nonprofits, guiding legislative outreach and connecting with lawmakers on local, state, and national levels. With ERP, Colin hopes to expand ERP's impact through transformative policies that will improve first-aid preparedness and emergency health education across California and beyond.

  • Angelica Loza-Gomez, MD, FAEMS

    Medical Advisor

    Dr. Loza-Gomez is a board-certified physician and Clinical Associate Professor of Emergency Medicine at the Keck School of Medicine of the University of Southern California. She currently serves as both the Director of Emergency Medical Services in the Department of Emergency Medicine and the Director of the Prehospital Base Station at the LAC+USC Medical Center.

  • Susie Kim, MD

    Medical Advisor

    Dr.Kim graduated summa cum laude in Chemistry, Phi Beta Kappa from Harvard College. She received her medical degree from Yale University School of Medicine and completed her diagnostic radiology residency at Massachusetts General Hospital. Currently, she is a Clinical Assistant Professor of Medical Education at Keck School of Medicine. Professor Kim enjoys teaching USC students and supporting their endeavors in healthcare.

  • Vicrumdeep Tung, MD

    Medical Advisor

    Dr. Vicrumdeep Tung is a General Surgery Specialist and Associate Medical Director at a private medical company. He graduated with honors in 2009 and received his medical training through a Cornell-affiliated program and residency at the Brooklyn Hospital Center. Dr.Tung has more than 12 years of diverse clinical and teaching experience and is a strong advocate for improving patient medical literacy.

  • Joseph Rich

    Educational Advisor

    Joe is a third-year student in the USC-Caltech MD/PhD program. He is studying machine learning and applications in medical imaging. As an undergraduate, he studied molecular, cell and developmental biology at UCLA and founded the UCLA Medical Literature Society. Joe has an extensive history of teaching and curriculum planning as an EMT, MCAT coach, and former chemistry teaching assistant.

  • Andrew Kinoshita, MPH

    Educational Advisor

    Andrew is currently a first-year medical student at the University of California, Irvine School of Medicine. He holds an MPH degree and possesses extensive health experience from his roles as the former President of USC’s Health Sciences Education Program and as a collegiate EMT. With ERP, Andrew is looking to help community members learn the skills necessary to respond while emergency services are still en route.

  • Tiffany Lian

    Educational Advisor

    Tiffany Lian is currently a fourth-year medical student at University of Southern California Keck School of Medicine. Tiffany has served as an EMT in a variety of capacities, including ambulance and collegiate settings, and has further worked towards bolstering public health and safety by implementing Stop the Bleed programs on her campus.

  • Kaden Shen

    Educational Advisor

    Kaden Shen is currently a P3 pharmacy student at Northeastern University, Bouvé College of Health Sciences. Kaden has worked at Beth Israel Deaconess Medical Center as a pharmacy intern and is an active member of Lambda Kappa Sigma. He hopes to pursue a PGY1 residency following graduation.
